My family is so impressed with Dave, we’ve never met a tradie as honest and as professional as Dave, not to forget to say, he goes out of his way to help fix our kitchen tap mixer that has no hot water within 3 hours of a phone call. He’s extremely honest; good old fashion superb service at a very reasonable price. Dave is extremely knowledgeable, he gives advice freely on our existing plumbing and gas water heater, if we have any more plumbing and gas troubles, we will definitely give Dave a phone call again. I highly recommend Barra's Plumbing and Gas.
Late last year I asked Dave for a quote to replace an old hot water system with a more modern version. He gave a very reasonable quote for supply and install. Before the work was to be carried out in a few days time, I noticed I had a water leak along the outside wall of the bathroom. When I called Dave, he said he would fix it too.
After installing the new hot water system, he chipped through the outer bricks and found the leak caused by a small hole in the water pipe. While he was fixing the leak, I was interested in how he was repairing it, and Dave was more than happy to explain his process throughout it. I don't know much about plumbing, so it was great to understand what was going on.
A few days later my Dad noticed water dripping from the hot water system. We called Dave and he said that was very strange for the system he gave us, but he came over right away. After inspection and opening up the system, it was determined there was no fault. Due to the recent rain it was actually water that had accumulated along the plastic cover strips that protect the screws and rubber seals. The way the water ran off it made it look like there was a problem, but there was none.
Dave is very friendly and easy to talk to. It was like chatting to an old friend when he was carrying out the work. He made you feel at ease that he knows his stuff, and that he isn't going to charge you a ridiculous price compared to other plumbers. He also takes pride in his work, by not cutting corners and wanting to ensure that it will stand the test of time.

Dave was responsive, came when he said he would and was respectful of our newly restored roof even though that meant squeezing through the attic with our aircon ducting. Thank you for fixing the burst pipe and providing us with an understanding of the likely causes.
